Rich is passionate about pairing institutional-quality portfolio management with consultative financial advice. Years ago, he noticed a wide gap between the portfolio process used by savvy institutions and the household investor. He developed our portfolio process to close this gap, and coupled it with sound financial advice to ensure each client’s portfolio has the right blend of risk and return.
When it comes to planning, many decisions seek to balance time vs money, which is a delicate balance of two important resources. Rich enjoys this challenge and finds reward in helping clients make the best decision for their situation.
He completed his undergraduate work at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Finance. He continued his education at the Hough Graduate School of Business at the University of Florida, where he earned a Master's in Business Administration.
Rich uses his knowledge and experience to help a variety of organizations. Rich serves on the Steering Team at Passion Community Church, which is a multi-site church with locations around the region and a strong online presence. In addition, Rich is on the board of directors for Redeemer Episcopal Day School. Rich also serves on the Board of Directors for FC Richmond, a soccer organization based in Central Virginia. Rich offers mentoring, career advice, and industry experience to students at the VCU School of Business. He has established an endowment to help students pursue education that may be financially out of reach for them.
When he is not following the markets or working with clients, Rich enjoys spending time with his wife Patricia as well as their daughters Isabella, Alissa, and Stella. Rich currently coaches two girls soccer teams and enjoys sharing some of the knowledge and skills he acquired during his playing days.
Both Rich and his wife exercise daily and enjoy getting involved in the local community.
